A room’s fee card does not reveal your personal hourly loss. Won-pot sizes, paid-win frequency and attribution matter. This tool never splits table rake equally and calls it your exact cost.

How the cap changes one hand’s fee.
House fee on a single eligible hand before your attribution share. This is not hourly table rake or a personal average.

The cap applies before you average.
On one eligible hand: fee = min(rate × pre-rake pot, money cap). With no cap, use rate × pot. Then multiply each bucket’s fee by its frequency weight and your explicit attribution share, add the buckets, and multiply by your won raked hands/hour.
At 5% with a HKD 500 cap, pots of HKD 1,000 and 20,000 pay 50 and 500. Equally weighted, the mean drop is 275; two such won hands/hour mean 550/hour before any share reduction. Capping their average pot instead would incorrectly produce 500 per hand.
Why Macau’s cap is not always 5 BB.
The owner’s examples keep a HKD 500 cap at both 50/100 and 100/200. That is 5 BB or 2.5 BB, reached at the same HKD 10,000 pot. A 50 BB pot pays 2.5 BB at both stakes: the pot reaches different money sizes. These are examples, not authenticated policies for every Macau room.
Direct time fees use a different model.
money/hour = your fee × 60 / interval minutes; divide by the big blind for BB/hour. No hand-frequency guess is required. A collection from a time pot or table is not a direct per-player fee without an explicit allocation rule.
Already after rake means no second deduction.
Only a rate explicitly entered before these fees has this modeled cost subtracted. An already-net rate is retained, with the estimated fee shown separately. All-in adjusted EV is not automatically a pre-rake rate.
No automatic tips, jackpot/promotional drops, cash rakeback, food or hotel comps are included. Pot rake and a replacing time fee are never added. Room drop rounding, minimum pots, short-handed reductions, special drops, partial-period billing and eligibility rules need separate confirmation. Count only eligible paid wins; a no-flop-no-drop policy can exclude preflop wins.
The continuous percentage model keeps subunit precision internally and rounds only the display. It is not an exact cash-register bill when a room uses drop increments or other rules. Higher fees can coexist with a better game; this calculator does not infer an edge or recommend a room.
