WHAT’S NEW IN THE APP
Bring your history. Record the hand.
The latest test build of GoodRun on Android adds imports from other apps, session limits, a hand recorder you use by tapping the table, and a safe way to undo settings changes. Everything below works offline, on your phone, with no account.
Import from other apps.
Settings > Import & Export > From other apps reads exports from Poker Bankroll Tracker, Poker Analytics and any spreadsheet (CSV). For a spreadsheet you match its columns once, and GoodRun can remember them for the next file.
- You see a preview before anything is saved.
- Sessions already in GoodRun are skipped, so importing the same file twice adds nothing.
- Import from Poker Manager and Pokerbase is coming soon.
Session limits.
Set a stop-loss, a maximum number of rebuys or a session length. The live session warns you when you reach one.
The limits are yours to set and yours to ignore. GoodRun tells you; it never stops you.
A visual hand recorder.
The recorder opens straight on the table, with no setup form. Tap a seat to add a player, tap a player to enter a stack (in chips or big blinds), tap the blinds to change them, and tap D then a player to move the button. Use last table brings back your last setup.
- Quick capture during a session: tap your position (SB, BB, UTG, UTG+1, LJ, HJ, CO or BTN) next to Pick cards. When you finish the hand later, you are at the bottom of the table with the button in the right place, and your cards and note are filled in.
- Player labels: rename, add, remove and reorder the quick labels (Fish, Whale, VIP, Regular and Unknown to start with) in Settings > Hand recorder > Player labels. One tap sets a label.
- Position names on the table match the ones you pick in quick capture, and the pot in the middle includes the blinds and the bets in front.
- TalkBack reads face-up cards aloud.
Reset to default.
A setting you changed shows Reset to default right under it. Reset all settings to defaults is at the bottom of Settings.
Only settings change. Your sessions, hands and other data are never touched, and you can Undo.
Also improved
- Tablets: the live session uses two columns, charts keep a sensible height, and a form you are filling in survives Android closing the app in the background.
- Merging a backup keeps its settings and the original times of continued sessions, and no longer fails when a rebuy from the backup is already on the phone.
- Venue suggestions by location no longer ask for the location permission as soon as a form opens.
